Overview

Casual Avoidance increases the dispersion of incoming fire, which helps destroyers such as Daring and Somme survive while pressing the fight. Look at Me Now and Perceptive pair well with it, and Contact Is Imminent is another good pick. Smoke on the Water adds further staying power for a durable destroyer playstyle.

Commander Bio

Philip Vian (1894–1968) was a Royal Navy admiral celebrated for his aggressive destroyer tactics and bold leadership throughout World War II. He commanded numerous destroyer squadrons across multiple theaters, including the Mediterranean, earning lasting renown for tactical innovation and fearless combat. Vian's willingness to engage superior enemy forces and his exemplary naval command established him as one of Britain's most celebrated and respected naval commanders of the Second World War.
