Increase your ship's AP shell minimum ricochet angle, up to +4 deg at full upgrade. Your AP shells start ricocheting only at steeper impact angles, so they bite into angled targets that would otherwise bounce them off - more reliable AP damage versus ships that are not flat broadside. Applies to your battleships, cruisers and destroyers.
